Job summary

Dallas County Votes is seeking a Pre-Trial Release Service Officer to conduct pretrial investigations, prepare release documents, and supervise individuals to ensure compliance with release terms and trial proceedings. You will coordinate with law enforcement and community agencies to facilitate timely releases and ensure accurate reporting.

The role requires a Bachelor's Degree in criminal justice or related field and at least two years of relevant experience, with strong communication skills

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree from an accredited college or university in criminal justice, social services, public administration or related field.
• Two years of work-related experience is required.
• Skilled in the use of standard software applications.
• Ability to communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing, and to maintain good working relationships.

Responsibilities

• Conduct pretrial defendant investigations, develop release recommendations, and testify in court as needed.
• Supervise offenders awaiting trial, meet with clients weekly, review case files for release compliance, monitor devices, and report on cases.
• Monitor court dates, reschedule missed appearances, and prepare documents to revoke bond or issue warrants when needed.
• Serve as a liaison with law enforcement, the public, community agencies, and County departments to facilitate timely releases.
• Perform related duties as assigned.
