Qualifications

• 2+ years of manufacturing, welding, fabrication, or machine operation experience (preferred).
• Ability to read basic blueprints and manufacturing instructions.

Responsibilities

• Set up and operate presswelding equipment.
• Read and follow job travelers, blueprints, drawings, and work instructions.
• Position and align copper materials and components for welding.
• Adjust machine settings to meet production requirements.
• Monitor weld quality and inspect completed parts.
• Use calipers, micrometers, gauges, and other measuring tools.
• Troubleshoot basic machine and production issues.
• Perform grinding, finishing, shearing, and other secondary operations as needed.
• Complete required production and quality documentation.
• Maintain a clean and safe work area.
• Follow all safety procedures and PPE requirements.

Watteredge is looking for a dependable and mechanically inclined Presswelder to join our 2nd Shift Pressweld department. This hands‑on manufacturing position involves operating press‑welding equipment and producing high‑quality copper components.

What You’ll Do

What We’re Looking For

• High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent
• 2 or more years of manufacturing, welding, fabrication, or machine operation experience preferred.
• Strong mechanical aptitude.
• Ability to read basic blueprints and manufacturing instructions.
• Experience with precision measuring tools is a plus.
• Strong attention to detail and quality.
• Dependable attendance and a teamoriented attitude.
• Willingness to learn Watteredge's presswelding processes.
