Job summary

Robert E. Mason & Associates, Inc. in Charlotte, NC is seeking an Application Engineer to support the Sales Operations team.

The AE will respond to customer inquiries by phone and email, pursue day-to-day sales, and work with Account Managers to deliver solutions. Occasional on-site customer visits may be required. The role emphasizes technical support, product sizing/selection, and preparing quotations while maintaining strong communication with customers and teammates.

Qualifications

• 4 year Bachelor’s degree is preferred, or equivalent industry experience.
• 1+ years of Sales or Engineering experience preferred.
• Familiarity with relevant codes and standards (e.g., ASME, API, PED) is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Respond to customer inquiries by phone or email and pursue day-to-day sales.
• Develop relationships with customer accounts and identify sales opportunities.
• Perform sizing and selection of pressure management products based on application and conditions.
• Prepare quotations and respond to RFQs; troubleshoot technical issues with customers.
• Review terms, conditions and relevant codes; engage in cross-functional collaboration.
