Job summary

Lakeside Book Company is seeking a production leadership professional to drive daily operations at our Harrisonburg North Plant. You will guide manufacturing teams, assign crews, set performance expectations, and coach staff to meet safety and quality standards.

In this role you will partner with department leadership to identify process improvements, champion continuous improvement initiatives, and remove barriers to maximize productivity and efficiency across shifts.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of leadership experience in manufacturing or similar fast-paced environments.
• Experience with Continuous Improvement practices to raise performance.
• Strong leadership, communication and interpersonal skills.
• Proven analytical, troubleshooting and problem-solving abilities.
• Hands-on, proactive leadership across cross-functional teams.

Responsibilities

• Provide daily leadership and direction to manufacturing teams, including crewing assignments, performance expectations, coaching, and issue resolution.
• Champion a strong safety and quality culture through observations, checks, and corrective actions.
• Monitor production and work with operators to troubleshoot issues and maximize productivity.
• Partner with department leadership and cross-functional teams to identify opportunities for process improvements.
• Participate in Continuous Improvement initiatives focused on safety, quality, efficiency, and performance.
