Job summary

Graphic Packaging International in Illinois is seeking a Press Technician to support the Press Operator in preparing rolls, inks, and plates for printing. The role emphasizes safety, cleanliness, and teamwork as you contribute to on-time production.

The position offers a starting wage of $20.65 per hour, with a $1.15 per hour night shift differential and a $1,500 retention bonus for new hires and qualifying rehires. On-the-job training is provided.

Qualifications

• Basic mechanical skills and ability to perform technical tasks.
• Able to work in a fast-paced, multi-task environment.
• Demonstrated organizational skills and detail orientation.
• Self-motivated and able to work with minimal supervision.
• Ability to follow verbal or written instructions.
• Ability to perform essential physical functions, including lifting up to 85 lbs and standing for long periods.

Responsibilities

• Ensure production and distribution meet Safe Quality Foods standards.
• Check rolls size and basis weight at the press.
• Make rolls press ready and assist with changeovers.
