Job summary

U.S. Tsubaki Power Transmission, LLC in Holyoke, MA, is seeking a press operator to set up and operate a range of presses for chain and related assemblies. You will ensure processes meet quality and efficiency standards and assist in training team members.

Candidates should have formal training in manufacturing or engineering, be able to read drawings, and be self-motivated to complete workloads on schedule. Heavy lifting is required and safety procedures must be followed.

Qualifications

• Must have followed an approved training program for setting up and operating all equipment in a section.
• Strong mechanical ability is a must.
• Trade school qualification in manufacturing/engineering desirable.
• Read and interpret engineering drawings; prior set-up experience on automatic, mechanical and hydraulic press equipment required.
• Must be self-motivated to complete workload timely and efficiently.
• Ability to read drawings, schedules and follow supervisor directions; follow quality and operation procedures.

Responsibilities

• Set-up and operate a wide range of presses to assemble chain and related operations.
• Maintain high efficiency and quality per U.S. Tsubaki standards.
• Operate automatic and semi-automatic chain assembly equipment and related presses.
• Measure quality parameters and implement corrective actions.
• Retrieve components and assist, train, and develop operators.
