Position: Press Ready Mounter - 3rd Shift
General Responsibilities
The Mounter is directed daily by the Press Supervisor, prepares sleeves for installation in flexographic printing presses, and is responsible for quality and productivity associated with materials processed through assigned machinery.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Prepare sleeves for installation in flexographic printing presses.
- Mount photopolymer plates onto sleeves and proof.
- Notify management whenever equipment is malfunctioning, damaged, or needs repair.
- Maintain production and quality standards as set forth by supervision.
- Organize workflow for smooth operation.
- Make necessary adjustments and monitor equipment so that product complies with work order.
- Lifts and places printing sleeves of specified size on mounter-proofing machine.
- Measures and sets cameras used as guides for alignment of printing plates.
- Applies cushion backing to sleeve to prep for plate mounting.
- Maneuvers plate on sleeve for proper position according to job specifications.
- Checks plates versus supplied proofs to verify accuracy.
- Strip used sleeves, clean and file.
- Record meters run for wear tracking.
- Other duties may be assigned.

Must have good speaking skills, be able to read, write and understand English, establish and maintain effective working relationships with co-workers and employees both in person and through written and verbal correspondence, and perform duties with minimal direction and be self‑motivated.
Health and Safety
Adhere to safety policies and procedures in compliance with American Fuji Seal's guidelines; visually inspect the facility for tripping hazards, equipment safeguards and help maintain a clean work environment.

Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma equivalent.
- Demonstrated insight into mechanical and process analysis.
- Must be able to see and compare colors.
- Must be able to see small graphic details.
- Must communicate in both verbal and written matters.
- Ability to work overtime and any schedule that management deems necessary to maintain production.
Preferred Qualifications
- An associate degree in Industrial Technology or related field.
- Computer skills in Word, Excel, Access, and PowerPoint.
- Color Management.
- 5-15 years related experience and training in printing process.
- Basic knowledge of plastic films.
- Basic knowledge of solvent base and water base inks.
Physical Demands
- Stooping, kneeling, crouching, reaching, standing, walking, pushing, and pulling.
- Medium work; exerting up to 50 pounds of force to move objects.
- Requires visual acuity to perform activities such as viewing computer and working within arm’s reach.
- May be subject to hazards: proximity to moving forklift and stored chemicals.
Travel Required
Less than 10 percent.
