Job summary

American Fuji Seal NC in Newton, NC is seeking a Mounter in the 1st shift. The role involves preparing sleeves for installation on flexographic presses, mounting photopolymer plates, and ensuring quality and productivity across the materials processed.

The candidate should have a High School Diploma or equivalent, strong color vision, and 5–15 years in printing. Knowledge of plastics films and inks (solvent and water-based) is preferred. Overtime may be required to meet production goals.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma equivalent.
• Mechanical and process analysis skills.
• Must be able to see and compare colors.
• Must see small graphic details.
• Excellent verbal and written communication.
• Willingness to overtime as needed.
• Color management knowledge.
• 5-15 years related printing experience.
• Basic knowledge of plastic films.
• Basic knowledge of solvent- and water-base inks.

Responsibilities

• The Mounter is directed daily by the Press Supervisor and prepares sleeves for installation in flexographic printing presses, ensuring quality and productivity.
• Prepare sleeves, mount photopolymer plates, and proof for accuracy.
• Notify management of equipment malfunctions or repairs needed.
• Maintain production and quality standards as directed by supervision.
• Organize workflow for smooth operation and adjust equipment to meet work orders.
• Record meters run for wear tracking and assist with material handling.
• Other duties may be assigned as needed.
