Responsibilities

• Perform a complete effective set-up of press including loading stock, setting paper path and stretch, mounting plates, mixing ink, die registration, and adjustments to ink/water balance.
• Ensure multi-color register accuracy and set up attribute functions (e.g., perforations, file holes) per job instructions.
• Perform preventative maintenance daily/weekly/monthly to ensure quality output and understand press controls.
• Troubleshoot mechanical breakdowns and adjust equipment (blanket changes, washups, water system, roller settings).

Press Print Operator (3rd Shift)

The Printing operator is responsible for the operation and manual setup/changeovers of multi-color sheet fed or high speed continuous/web presses.

LOCATION: Townsend, MA 01469
POSITION: Contract
SCHEDULE: 3 rd Shift – 11:00pm to 7:00am / Sunday – Thursday (Training is on 1 st shift)
PAY RATE: $22.00 hour

• Perform a complete effective set-up of press including identifying and loading correct stock, setting correct paper path and stretch, bending and mounting plates, mixing PMS ink, die registration, making appropriate adjustments to the ink and water balance, assuring accurate multi-color register and setting up any attribute functions, e.g. perforations, number, file holes, etc.
• Determine and understand all order instructions and running of press, meeting job requirements of ink density, ink and water balance, color matching, size and construction, and required attributes at a quality level that meets or exceeds our customer’s expectations.
• Performs daily, weekly and monthly preventative maintenance to ensure a quality product to customer as required. Understands all press controls and demonstrates their use.
• Maintains the ability to troubleshoot mechanical breakdowns; demonstrates the ability to make adjustments to the equipment including blanket changes, washing up units, cleaning water system and roller settings as required.
