Job summary

Staff Perm is seeking a Press Print Operator for the 3rd shift in Townsend, MA. This contract role requires handling setup and changeovers on multi-color sheet-fed or high-speed presses, ensuring ink density and color accuracy, and performing preventive maintenance.

Basic qualifications include 18+ years old, HS Diploma or GED, and 3 years in manufacturing/printing with familiarity in printing processes. Training is on first shift before 3rd shift.

Qualifications

• 18 years old and eligible to work in the USA.
• HS Diploma or GED.
• 3 year of Manufacturing/Printing experience.
• Familiar with printing process and ink usage.
• Basic computer skills.

Responsibilities

• Perform a complete effective set-up of press including loading stock, setting paper path and stretch, mounting plates, mixing ink, die registration, and adjustments to ink/water balance.
• Ensure multi-color register accuracy and set up attribute functions (e.g., perforations, file holes) per job instructions.
• Perform preventative maintenance daily/weekly/monthly to ensure quality output and understand press controls.
• Troubleshoot mechanical breakdowns and adjust equipment (blanket changes, washups, water system, roller settings).
