Job summary

Staff Perm is seeking a Press Print Operator for the 3rd shift in Townsend, MA. The operator will handle operation and manual setup/changeovers of multi-color sheet-fed or high-speed presses, ensuring quality and efficiency.

Responsibilities include executing complete press setups, maintaining correct ink/water balance, color registration, and preventive maintenance; troubleshooting mechanical issues and adjusting equipment as needed.

Qualifications

• Complete setup and operation of multi-color sheet-fed or high-speed presses, including plate mounting and ink mixing.
• Meet ink density, water balance, color register, and job specs as per orders.
• Perform daily, weekly, monthly preventive maintenance and know press controls.
• Troubleshoot mechanical issues and adjust blankets, washing units, and roller settings.

Press Print Operator (3rd Shift)

The Printing operator is responsible for the operation and manual setup/changeovers of multi-color sheet fed or high speed continuous/web presses.

LOCATION: Townsend, MA 01469
SCHEDULE: 3 rd Shift - 11:00pm to 7:00am / Sunday - Thursday (Training is on 1 st shift)

• Perform a complete effective set-up of press including identifying and loading correct stock, setting correct paper path and stretch, bending and mounting plates, mixing PMS ink, die registration, making appropriate adjustments to the ink and water balance, assuring accurate multi-color register and setting up any attribute functions, e.g. perforations, number, file holes, etc.
• Determine and understand all order instructions and running of press, meeting job requirements of ink density, ink and water balance, color matching, size and construction, and required attributes at a quality level that meets or exceeds our customer’s expectations.
• Performs daily, weekly and monthly preventative maintenance to ensure a quality product to customer as required. Understands all press controls and demonstrates their use.
• Maintains the ability to troubleshoot mechanical breakdowns; demonstrates the ability to make adjustments to the equipment including blanket changes, washing up units, cleaning water system and roller settings as required.

Basic Qualifications

• 18 years old and eligible to work in the USA
• HS Diploma or GED
• 3 year of Manufacturing/Printing experience
• Familiar with printing process and ink usage
• Basic computer skills.
