Seeking a Part-Time Experienced Offset Press Operator/Flexo Operator to work midday, assisting with periods of increased workload. Days and hours are flexible. Great opportunity for a retired experienced operator looking to make some extra money!

• The position is responsible for setting up, adjusting, operating, and maintaining various press equipment.
• Perform all make-ready tasks associated with the type of press operated, such as hanging plates or installing cylinders, examining plates/cylinders for imperfections, checking for correct image positioning, prepping blankets, adjusting tension and register, etc.
• Make necessary color corrections and/or press adjustments prior to production to meet quality specifications.
• Clean, lubricate, and maintain the press, making minor repairs and replacing worn or broken parts as required.
• Perform periodic maintenance as recommended by the manufacturer.

Qualifications

• Thorough knowledge of offset printing procedures, materials, specifications, equipment, and safety requirements, with the skills to perform assigned tasks.
• Ability to read and understand job specifications and knowledge of press capabilities to determine appropriate press usage, settings, and materials for successful job completion.
• Skill to make precise settings and adjustments, and perform routine operational maintenance of equipment.
• Knowledge of minor repairs and routine maintenance of press equipment.
• Understanding of packing pressure requirements for proper printing pressure based on the job.
• Skill in using a micrometer to mount and align printing plates correctly.

This position is eligible for a Sign-On Bonus!

The salary range for this role at the specified RRD location is $21 - $27/hour. Starting pay is determined based on factors such as education, qualifications, skills, experience, certifications, performance, shift, location, and business needs. Roles typically follow step progressions to a target rate or set increments. In addition to hourly pay, total compensation may include a sign-on bonus, overtime, shift differentials, call-in and standby pay.
