Job Description

Seeking a Part-Time Experienced Offset Press Operator/Flexo Operator to work midday, to assist with periods of increased workload. Days and hours are flexible. Great opportunity for a retired experienced Operator looking to make some extra money!

• The position is responsible for setting up, adjusting, operating, and maintaining a variety of press equipment.
• Perform all make-ready tasks associated with the type of press operated, such as hanging plates or installing cylinders, examining plates/cylinders for imperfections, checking for correct image positioning, prepping blankets, adjusting tension and register, etc.
• Make necessary color corrections and/or press adjustments prior to production runs to meet and maintain quality specifications.
• Clean, lubricate, and maintain the press, making minor repairs and replacing worn or broken parts as required.
• Perform periodic maintenance as recommended by the manufacturer.

Qualifications:

• Thorough knowledge of offset printing procedures, materials, specifications, equipment, and safety requirements.
• Skills to read and understand job specifications and determine appropriate press usage, settings, and materials.
• Ability to make precise control settings and perform routine operational maintenance.
• Knowledge of proper packing pressure for different jobs.
• Skill in using micrometers to mount and align printing plates correctly.

Additional Information

This position is eligible for a Sign-On Bonus!

The salary range at the noted RRD location is $21 - $27/hour. Starting pay depends on education, qualifications, skills, experience, certifications, performance, shift, location, and other factors. Compensation includes a sign-on bonus of $2,000, overtime, shift differentials, call-in, and standby pay. Benefits include medical, dental, vision, paid time off, disability insurance, 401(k) with match, life insurance, parental leave, tuition assistance, and discounts.
