Job Description

• Seeking a Part-Time Experienced Offset Press Operator/Flexo Operator to work midday, assisting with periods of increased workload. Days and hours are flexible. Great opportunity for a retired experienced operator looking to earn extra income!
• The position involves setting up, adjusting, operating, and maintaining press equipment.
• Perform make-ready tasks such as hanging plates or installing cylinders, examining plates/cylinders for imperfections, checking image positioning, prepping blankets, adjusting tension and registration.
• Make color corrections and press adjustments to meet quality specifications before production.
• Clean, lubricate, and maintain the press, performing minor repairs and replacing worn parts as needed.
• Perform periodic maintenance as recommended by the manufacturer.

Qualifications

• Thorough knowledge of offset printing procedures, materials, equipment, safety requirements, and skills to perform tasks.
• Ability to read and understand job specifications and press capabilities to determine appropriate press usage and settings.
• Skill to make precise adjustments and routine maintenance of equipment.
• Knowledge of proper packing pressure for different jobs.
• Skill in using micrometers to mount and align printing plates accurately.

The salary range is $21 - $27/hour, based on experience and qualifications. Compensation may include additional benefits such as overtime, shift differentials, bonuses, and comprehensive benefits including medical, dental, vision, paid time off, 401(k), and more.
