Job summary

Mill Rock Packaging is seeking a Press Operator I to join the Printing Department. This role focuses on changeovers, feeding setup, and keeping the press running smoothly during printing and changeovers.

Qualifications

• Positive attitude and willingness to learn in a team setting.
• Ability to work effectively as part of a press team and understand impact of your role.
• Open to feedback and growth in responsibilities.
• Basic computer skills for operating systems and programs.
• Good endurance to stand and move during shifts.
• Previous manufacturing or physical labor experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Verify correct paper stock per job ticket and stock caliper with micrometer.
• Pull plates from holding area for next job readiness.
• Select and verify inks/coatings against ink cards from storage racks.
• Set up feeder, double sheet detector, side guides, and material loading.
• Hang plates and change blankets as directed by press operator.
• Check press sheet and perform die vinyl checks as required.
• Dispose of make-ready material correctly and separate recyclable waste.
• Assist maintenance tasks on presses as scheduled.
