Job summary

SPR Packaging is seeking a Press Operator Assistant for Rockwall, TX. The role involves supporting press operations, loading materials, and maintaining ink room housekeeping on day or night shifts.

You will read work orders, assist with ink changes, monitor viscosity, and manage solvent drums. The position requires basic math, color differentiation, and the ability to lift up to 50 lbs.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Basic computer skills and ability to do basic math.
• Ability to read a tape measure and differentiate colors.
• Lift up to 50 lbs and stand long periods on hard surfaces.
• Attention to safety and housekeeping in ink room.

Responsibilities

• Read and understand work orders and bring proper materials to press.
• Assist with press change-overs by changing inks, gears, sleeves, clean plates.
• Check viscosity manually and troubleshoot ink viscometer.
• Fill solvent drums and swap ink/solvent totes.
• Change scrap boxes when full and load/unload rolls by job tag.
• Maintain ink room housekeeping and properly label/stock ink.
