Position Summary

The Press Operator operates Form department presses and equipment to produce precision parts, performing interval quality checks, measuring dimensions, and documenting results.

Essential Functions
  • Able to follow verbal and written instructions from Lead, Set‑up personnel, traveler, or other company documentation.
  • Operate various manual, pneumatic, electric and hydraulic presses to cut, shape, and form metal, plastic, or other materials used in manufacturing operations.
  • Perform forming, cutting, drilling, bending, and punching operations to blueprint specifications.
  • Use various measuring equipment such as height gauges, calipers, and micrometers to verify part dimensions.
  • Document measurements, counts, etc. on company paperwork/graphs.
  • Able to handle delicate parts and use tweezers.
  • Identify imperfections and out‑of‑spec conditions based on documented acceptance criteria.

Position Type / Expected Hours of Work

This is a full‑time position. First shift: Monday through Friday, 7:00 am – 3:30 pm. Second shift: Monday through Friday, 3:30 pm – 12:00 am. Occasional overtime as required.

Compensation

Salary range: $17.50 – $25.00 per hour. Most new hires can expect to start around $17.50 per hour. Final compensation will be determined based on experience, skills, education, and internal equity.
