CST Industries, Inc. in DeKalb, IL seeks a press operator to set up and operate mechanical and hydraulic presses, including multi‑ton units, and to produce parts per blueprints and written instructions.
Responsibilities include inspecting parts with micrometers, calipers, and tape measures, performing data entry, and maintaining safe, efficient production. The ideal candidate has a high school diploma and up to 3 months of experience, and must communicate in English.
This position is responsible for the setting up and operating mechanical and hydraulic presses and safely producing product per instructions and blueprint.

Medium work – Lifting up to 50 pounds, and/or up to 20 pounds frequently, and/or up to 10 pounds constantly to move objects. Moving over 50 pounds requires a lifting device or team lift.
The work environment characteristics described here are representative of those an employee encounters while performing the essential functions of this job. The employee works in a manufacturing plant environment with normal exposure to noise, dust, and hazards associated with working in a high traffic, heavy machinery,manufacturing plant. Typical work hours are Monday through Thursday from 5:45AM – 4:15 PM (may vary by area in department). This position may require overtime. Work hours may change at the Management’s discretion with prior notice.
