Press Operator (2nd and 3rd)

Keystone Powdered Metal Company, a Sumitomo Electric Group company, is seeking an experienced full-time Press Operator to join our team at our Cherryville, NC location. This role reports to the Production Supervisor.

Job Duties and Responsibilities

1. Operate primary equipment - Molding.
2. Operate equipment efficiently and safely, making adjustments to ensure product quality.
3. Follow procedures applicable to this job classification.
4. Record and maintain product/process information legibly.
5. Utilize measuring equipment effectively to maintain control conditions.
6. Provide input to ensure control conditions are maintained.
7. Communicate job-related information effectively to co-workers, supervisors, and other departments.
8. Maintain cooperative relationships across functional areas.
9. Maintain reliable and consistent attendance.
10. Assist in writing or revising procedures.
11. Participate in training and appraisals of others.
12. Perform additional tasks as needed.

Qualifications

• Ability to read and understand procedures and process sheets.
• Basic math skills including calculations with decimals, fractions, percentages, and averages.
• Ability to write legible sentences.
• Operate and adjust equipment properly.
• Use measuring equipment accurately and interpret results.
• Understand and apply SPC fundamentals.
• Demonstrate good communication and teamwork skills.
• Thorough knowledge of process documentation.
• Exhibit positive team behaviors.

Compensation

The base salary range is $17/hour to $21/hour. Compensation varies based on experience, qualifications, skills, and location. It includes total benefits and recognition for work performed.
