Position Title:

Press Operator

Wage:

$20-$21.50/hour

Shift:

1st

Hours:

7am-3:30pm

We are searching for candidates with previous Metal Press Machine experience for a warehouse in North Kansas City, MO. This company promotes a safe work environment and offers room for growth once hired on. Please include an updated work history or resume for application.

Press Operator Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

• Read and understand work instructions, handle material to and from workstation, and prepare workstation and equipment for production. Ensure product quality before shipping.
• Perform die changeovers and select correct materials to run.
• Correct or seek support to fix setup or tool problems preventing production of good parts.
• Operate press to punch and form parts per specifications.
• Adjust and tighten hold down bolts, dies, springs, and pins; lubricate material and parts as required.
• Perform daily housekeeping activities as outlined by supervisor.
• Complete all required and assigned paperwork.

Press Operator Requirements:

• Ability to stand and walk for an entire shift.
• Ability to bend, kneel, stoop, crouch, crawl, ascend/descend stairs, and climb throughout a normal shift.
• Ability to occasionally lift up to 50 pounds, with 20 pounds being the most frequent lift.
• Must have close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.
• Must have great attendance and punctuality.
• Good attention to detail and hand-to-eye coordination to distinguish defective items.
• Previous experience in manufacturing and operating a press preferred.
• Ability to read measuring devices and interpret blueprints and drawings.
