Job summary

Industrial in Rockledge, FL is seeking a Press Machine Operator to join the Production team. You will set up and operate an aluminum extrusion press, verify alloy and billet length, and monitor heater controls to meet customer specs.

Shifts include 1st, 2nd, and 3rd with overtime and some Saturdays. Pay is $18–$19 per hour plus a $1.00 premium for 2nd/3rd shifts, and work may occur on weekends. The role emphasizes safety, quality and teamwork in a non air-conditioned shop environment.

Qualifications

Our client, Industrial is seeking a Press Machine Operators to join their team. As a Press Machine Operators, you will be part of the Production department supporting manufacturing operations. The ideal candidate will have collaboration skills, decision making and problem solving, and a results-driven mindset which will align successfully in the organization.

Job Title: Press Machine Operators

Location: Rockledge, FL

Pay rate:$18-$19 per hour plus $1.00 premium shift differential for 2nd & 3rd shifts

Schedule: 1st, 2nd & 3rd Shifts

1st shift: Mon-Fri (7am-3pm) with OT and some Saturdays

2nd shift: Mon-Fri (3pm - 11pm)with and some Saturdays

3rd shift: Sun-Fri (11pm-7am) with OT and someSaturdays

What's the Job?

• Work from schedules, production orders, prints, and specifications to verify alloy and billet length, and set heater controls to the proper requirements.
• Set up, adjust, and operate an aluminum extrusion press using multiple control panels in sequence to ensure proper operation.
• Adjust press and peripheral equipment to set up product layout guides and tooling, and set/adjust parameters so material meets customer specifications.
• Troubleshoot press operation to support manufacturing problem resolution and process improvement within established policies.
• Support quality documentation, assist with process examination and root cause analysis, and help follow up on product and customer issues.

What's Needed?

• Ability to read and comprehend production orders, prints, and specifications, and use measuring instruments such as micrometers, calipers, and heat probes.
• Familiarity with health and safety regulations and a strong commitment to safe operating conditions.
• Basic proficiency in computers and the ability to handle multiple tasks while prioritizing effectively.
• Excellent mental and visual attention to monitor extrusion operations and maintain constant alertness.
• Ability to work in a non air-conditioned shop environment and perform physical tasks safely, including occasional lifting up to 50 lbs.
