Job summary

PeopleShare by PROMAN in Schaumburg, IL is hiring a Machine Operator to join a fast-paced manufacturing team. This role offers hands-on experience operating extrusion equipment and learning new processes, with a focus on keeping production moving.

Schedule is Monday-Thursday, 12-hour shifts (7:30 AM–7:30 PM or 7:30 PM–7:30 AM). Pay is $22.00/hour, with a $1.00 raise upon conversion. Training Monday–Friday, 7:30 AM–4:00 PM for 1 month is provided to start.

Qualifications

• 1+ year of machine operating experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Ability to read, write, and communicate effectively in English.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions.
• Comfortable around heat, noise, and moving machinery.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Lead Operator and Shift Supervisor with operating extrusion equipment.
• Support machine setup, startup, shutdown, and product changeovers.
• Load raw materials into hoppers and feeders.
• Monitor extrusion lines and report equipment or production issues.
• Perform visual inspections and basic measurements to ensure product quality.
• Remove, package, and label finished products according to specifications.
• Clean and prepare tooling and equipment during changeovers.
• Assist operators and maintenance with minor troubleshooting and machine adjustments.
• Transport materials using pallet jacks or forklifts when certified.
• Maintain a clean, organized work area and follow 5S and safety standards.

Machin Operator Requirements:

• 1+ year of machine operating experience in a manufacturing environment
• Ability to read, write, and communicate effectively in English
• Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions
• Comfortable working around heat, noise, and moving machinery
• Ability to stand and walk for up to 12 hours per shift
• Ability to regularly lift, carry, push, and pull up to 50 lbs
• Comfortable bending, reaching, kneeling, climbing stairs or ladders, and working at various heights
• Ability to wear required PPE, including safety glasses, hearing protection, gloves, and steel-toe footwear
