Job summary

Fair-Rite Products Corp. in Wallkill, NY has immediate openings for two full-time Machine Operators - Press in the Press Department on 1st shift, Monday to Friday, 7:30 AM to 4:00 PM, with on-the-job training and opportunities to advance.

Duties include operating presses to shape parts to exact work orders, monitoring dimensional accuracy with basic gauges, and ensuring efficient cycle times while maintaining safety standards.

Qualifications

• High school diploma (or GED) and technical school training (or equivalent combination of education and experience).
• Must have good math skills
• Ability to read a micrometer, dial gauge and calipers
• Able to stand for extended periods of time and lift, push, pull up to 35 lbs.
• Good communications skills and teamwork

Responsibilities

• Operate equipment to press parts to the shape and size dictated by the Work Order.
• Monitor production of parts to ensure dimensions meet required specifications using pre-control charts.
• Check product quality while keeping presses running efficiently.
