Job summary

The Hire Source is seeking a Press Machine Operator for the 2nd shift in Waterbury, CT. This contract-to-hire position offers on-the-job training and a hands-on team focused on safety, quality, and continuous improvement.

You will set up machines, calibrate and adjust settings, feed materials, inspect parts with precision tools, test operation, and help maintain accurate production records. A high school diploma and reliable attendance are required; prior manufacturing experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; manufacturing experience preferred.
• Ability to lift up to 40 lbs and perform manual tasks.
• Strict adherence to health and safety regulations.

Responsibilities

Responsibilities

• Set up machines for each production cycle (calibration, cleaning, etc.)
• Control and adjust machine settings to maintain optimal output
• Feed materials or parts into machines and package finished goods
• Inspect parts using precision and measuring tools to ensure quality
• Test machine operation at regular intervals
• Troubleshoot and resolve machine issues during your shift

Requirements

• Strong, verifiable work history—reliable attendance and performance
• Strict adherence to health & safety regulations (constant use of protective gear)

Shift & Schedule

• Monday–Wednesday:
• 5:00 PM–5:00 AM, Monday – Wednesday
• Thursday 5:00 PM– 9:00PM or 5:00 AM
• Overtime mandatory as needed on Thursdays & Fridays
