Job summary

Digital Room in Brooklyn, OH is seeking a Press Feeder for the 3rd shift (10pm-6am). Training is available for the right candidate. Responsibilities include hanging plates, keeping ink fountains full, loading substrates, assisting with print and coater blanket changes, and performing daily maintenance tasks.

Must be reliable and a team player in a fast-paced print facility. Ideal candidates read and follow work orders, operate feeder controls, replenish ink, and maintain safety at all times.

Qualifications

• Understand the printing process of the press machine.
• Attention to detail and accuracy in tasks.
• Ability to read, write, speak and understand English.
• Ability to communicate effectively with the Press Operator.
• Ability to use hand/power tools safely.

Responsibilities

• Hang plates and ensure ink fountains are full (C, M, Y, K).
• Load different substrates (text weight, Cardstock, carbonless paper) per work orders.
• Assist with print and coater blanket changes and with daily maintenance tasks.
• Replenish ink cans as needed and store materials and inks properly.
• Set up feeder by adjusting air blowers, hold downs, hoists and controls.
• Maintain teamwork, reliability, and ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
• Assist Press Operator with rollers and loading/unloading materials.
• Record production data and report hazards and safety issues.

Job description

We are actively recruiting for the position of Press Feeder for our plant in Brooklyn, OH

Shift: 3rd shift 10pm-6am Sunday-Thursday - We will train the right candidate

Duties & Responsibilities

• Hanging plates
• Make sure the ink fountains are full - using Cyan, Magenta, Yellow, & Black.
• Responsible for loading different substrates on press ( text weight, Cardstock, & Carbonless paper) while following work orders.
• Assist with print & coater blanket changes
• Assist with daily maintenance tasks and cleanliness
• Replenish ink cans when necessary - C,M,Y,K
• Put all materials, inks, solvents, etc. away to their designated area when finished
• Set up feeder by adjusting air blowers, hold downs, Main pile hoist, Aux pile hoist, pile control, suckers, & side separator controls.
• Able to work with others and being a team player
• An individual who is reliable and is capable of working in a fast-paced environment.
• Assists Press Operator in removing and replacing worn rollers, ink form rollers, water form rollers, etc.
• Load skids of unprinted sheets of paper on the feed device of the sheet-fed press, using the pallet jack
• Inspect materials and products for defects, and to ensure it meets job specifications.
• Identify and mark materials, products, and samples, following instructions.
• Remove materials and products from machines and equipment and place them in staging position for the bindery department.
• Record production and operational data, such as the number of materials processed.
• Report any workplace hazards to management immediately.
• Ensure all equipment, tools, and workstations are in good working order and are free of any safety hazards.
• Must be available for any required overtime based on business needs.
• Must be proactive with completing other duties as assigned.
