Job summary

Okie Staffing seeks an experienced Brake Press / Punch Press Operator to join our client’s manufacturing team in Broken Arrow. The role involves setting up, operating, and maintaining brake press and punch press equipment to fabricate small metal parts per customer specs and quality standards.

The ideal candidate has at least 3 years of experience in metal fabrication and can work independently in a production environment.

Qualifications

  • Minimum 3 years brake press and/or punch press operating experience.
  • Experience producing small metal fabricated components.
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints and shop drawings.
  • Knowledge of machine setup, tooling, and material handling.
  • Experience using precision measuring instruments.
  • Strong attention to detail and quality control.
  • Ability to work independently and meet production goals.
  • Basic math and measurement skills required.

Responsibilities

  • Set up and operate brake press and punch press machines to produce precision metal parts.
  • Read and interpret blueprints, work orders, and engineering drawings.
  • Select proper tooling, dies, and machine settings for production runs.
  • Measure finished products using calipers, micrometers, gauges, and other inspection tools.
  • Inspect parts to ensure compliance with quality standards and specifications.
  • Perform machine adjustments as needed to maintain quality and production efficiency.
  • Monitor equipment for wear and report maintenance needs.
  • Maintain accurate production records and documentation.
  • Follow all company safety procedures and manufacturing standards.
  • Keep work area clean and organized.

This position is responsible for setting up, operating, and maintaining brake press and punch press equipment used to fabricate small metal parts according to customer specifications and quality standards. The ideal candidate will have at least 3 years of experience in metal fabrication and be capable of working independently in a production environment.

Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience with CNC brake press equipment.
  • Manufacturing or metal fabrication background.
  • Forklift experience is a plus.
