Job summary

HireQuest Direct is seeking a dependable CNC Press Brake Operator to join our manufacturing team in Georgia. You will set up and operate CNC press brake equipment to form metal components per engineering specs and production needs.

You will follow blueprints, perform start-up/shutdown, monitor part dimensions, and adjust tooling to maintain quality and on-time delivery. A focus on safety and cleanliness ensures a reliable, efficient workflow.

Qualifications

• Ability to read and interpret basic drawings and work instructions.
• Strong mechanical aptitude and safe operation of manufacturing equipment.
• Experience with metal forming or press brake is preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Follow instructions, work orders, and blueprints to meet specifications.
• Start-up and shutdown procedures for the machinery.
• Set up, load, and operate press brake or punch press equipment.
• Monitor dimensions and adjust as necessary to ensure quality.
• Use grinders and abrasives to meet surface finish requirements.
• Safely operate material handling equipment such as cranes and hooks.
• Use fixtures and templates to ensure accuracy and consistency.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area per safety policies.
• Assist with additional production tasks to support operations.
• Maintain organization and efficiency of the work environment.
• Read and write in English to complete documentation.

We are currently seeking a dependable, detail-oriented CNC Press Brake Operator to join our manufacturing team. In this role, you will be responsible for setting up and operating CNC press brake equipment to form metal components according to engineering specifications and production requirements. Your attention to detail and commitment to quality will help maintain efficient workflow, ensure accurate parts, and support on-time delivery.

Key Responsibilities

• Follow and execute sequenced instructions, work orders, and blueprints to produce parts that meet specifications.


• Perform proper machine start-up and shutdown procedures.


• Set up, load, and operate press brake or punch press equipment according to production requirements.


• Monitor part quality by evaluating dimensions and identifying defects, making adjustments as necessary.


• Use metal finishing tools such as grinders and abrasives to meet surface finish requirements.


• Safely operate material handling equipment including cranes, positioners, magnets, and hooks.


• Utilize fixtures, templates, and other material control devices to ensure accuracy and consistency.


• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area while following all company safety policies.


• Assist with additional production tasks as needed to support manufacturing operations.


• Participate in maintaining the organization, cleanliness, and efficiency of the work environment.


• Read and write in English to complete operational documentation and preventive maintenance requirements.

Qualifications

• Ability to successfully complete forming and general shop assessments within the first week of employment.


• Ability to read and interpret basic drawings and work instructions.


• Strong mechanical aptitude and ability to operate manufacturing equipment safely.


• Previous metal forming or press brake experience preferred but not required.
