Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Experience operating brake press equipment preferred.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints.
• Ability to use precision measuring tools.
• Strong math skills and mechanical aptitude.

Responsibilities

• Set up and operate press brake machines to bend sheet metal and plate to required dimensions.
• Read and interpret blueprints, work orders, and shop drawings.
• Select tooling and machine settings for each job.
• Measure, inspect, and verify part dimensions using calipers, micrometers, and other precision measuring tools.
• Perform machine adjustments, offsets, and program edits as needed to maintain accuracy and quality.
• Follow established SOPs and safety requirements.
• Perform routine machine maintenance and report mechanical issues.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area.
• Complete additional production duties as assigned.

Pay: $21/hour
Shift: 1st Shift, 7:30 AM – 4:00 PM

This individual will be responsible for setting up and operating press brake equipment to bend, form, and fabricate metal components according to engineering drawings and specifications. The ideal candidate will have previous press brake experience, strong mechanical aptitude, and the ability to consistently produce accurate, high-quality parts in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

Responsibilities of Brake Press Operator

• Set up and operate press brake machines to bend sheet metal and plate to required dimensions.
• Read and interpret blueprints, work orders, and shop drawings.
• Select the appropriate tooling and machine settings for each job.
• Measure, inspect, and verify part dimensions using calipers, micrometers, and other precision measuring tools.
• Perform machine adjustments, offsets, and program edits as needed to maintain accuracy and quality.
• Follow established standard operating procedures and safety requirements.
• Perform routine machine maintenance and promptly report mechanical issues.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area.
• Complete additional production duties as assigned.

Qualifications of Brake Press Operator

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Previous experience operating press brake equipment.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints.
• Ability to properly use precision measuring instruments.
• Above-average math skills.
• Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving abilities.
• Basic knowledge of metal types, thicknesses, and bending characteristics.
• Ability to stand for extended periods throughout the shift.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.

Preferred Experience Brake Press Operator:

• Previous hands-on press brake experience in a manufacturing, machining, or metal fabrication environment.
• Experience making machine adjustments and program edits.
• Experience working from detailed engineering drawings and tight tolerances.
