  • Coordinate with supervisors to maintain smooth production flow.

PRESS BRAKE OPERATOR - 1ST & 2ND SHIFT

We are seeking a dependable and detail-oriented Press Brake Operator to join our manufacturing team. The ideal candidate will have experience operating press brake machinery and a strong understanding of metal bending processes, safety procedures, and quality standards. This role is responsible for setting up, operating, and troubleshooting press brake machines to produce precision‑formed metal parts according to specifications.

Key Responsibilities
  • Wear the appropriate PPE and follow all company safety procedures at all times.
  • Read and interpret blueprints, shop drawings, and work orders to determine bending sequences and requirements.
  • Select and install the correct tooling, including dies and punches, based on the job specifications.
  • Perform daily inspections on the press brake, checking oil levels, hydraulic systems, control panels, and tooling condition.
  • Identify basic troubleshooting issues with the machine and notify maintenance when necessary.
  • Measure and inspect finished parts using calipers, protractors, gauges, or other precision measuring tools.
  • Ensure all bends are within tolerance and meet required quality standards.
  • Adjust machine settings or setups as needed to correct errors or improve accuracy.
  • Communicate regularly with supervisors and group leaders to coordinate workflow and ensure smooth production.
  • Report material shortages, part defects, or equipment malfunctions promptly.
  • Maintain consistent attendance, arrive on time, and sustain productivity throughout the shift.
Qualifications
  • Prior experience operating a press brake or similar fabrication equipment preferred.
  • Ability to read technical drawings and blueprints accurately.
  • Familiarity with press brake tooling, machine controls, and safety practices.
  • Basic understanding of machine troubleshooting and when to elevate issues.
  • Competence in using precision measuring tools (calipers, protractors, gauges).
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship.
  • Good communication skills and the ability to work well in a team environment.
  • Physical ability to lift up to 50 lbs and stand for extended periods.
