Press Brake Operator - 1st Shift
Leading aerospace company in Suwanee, GA is seeking an experienced Press Brake Operator to join its sheet metal fabrication team and form precision metal components used in aerospace applications. In this hands-on role, you'll set up, operate, and maintain press brake equipment, read blueprints and work instructions, and verify every dimension with precision measuring tools.
Pay Rate of the Press Brake Operator:
$23.00 per hour.
Scheduleof the Press Brake Operator:
Full-time, 1st shift, Monday through Thursday, 6:30 AM to 4:45 PM.
Responsibilities of the Press Brake Operator:
- Set up and operate press brake machines to form sheet metal components according to specifications.
- Review production schedules and prioritize work to meet customer deadlines.
- Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and work instructions.
- Select proper tooling and perform machine setups and changeovers.
- Verify dimensions and angles using calipers, protractors, micrometers, gauges, and other measuring equipment.
- Perform first-piece, in-process, and final inspections to ensure quality standards are met.
- Prepare completed parts for the next stage of production.
- Communicate machine or tooling issues and assist with troubleshooting as needed.
- Maintain a clean, organized work area using 5S principles.
- Follow all quality, safety, and company procedures.
- Collaborate with Quality and Production teams to ensure customer requirements are met.
Qualifications of the Press Brake Operator:
- High School Diploma or GED (required).
- 2+ years of press brake operating experience in a manufacturing environment (preferred).
- Experience performing machine setups and tooling changes.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints and work instructions.
- Experience using calipers, micrometers, tape measures, and other inspection tools.
- Strong understanding of measurements, fractions, decimals, and metric conversions.
- Basic computer skills.
- Ability to work independently while maintaining quality standards.
