Job summary

SI Utility is seeking a skilled Press Brake Operator to support fabrication operations by forming components to exact specifications in a safe and efficient manner.

Responsibilities include setting up and operating the press brake, reading drawings, programming CNCs, and maintaining quality and safety standards throughout production. The role requires strong teamwork, reliability, and adherence to AWS D1.1 quality guidelines.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Follow safety policies, wear PPE, and report unsafe conditions.
• Set up, adjust, and operate the press brake based on product plans and schedules.
• Read engineering drawings, blueprints, and specifications.
• Create CNC programs to optimize accuracy and efficiency.
• Operate the CNC press brake to meet tolerances and quality standards.
• Serve as the primary Brake Operator throughout all stages of processing.
• Report issues, missing components, or repair needs promptly.
• Maintain a clean and organized work area; assist in training new team members.
• Perform additional duties as assigned by Foreman or Department Manager.

• Follow all Safety policies and procedures, wearing required PPE and reporting any unsafe conditions immediately.
• Ensure all equipment is properly maintained and in good working order.
• Complete required training and safety certifications in accordance with company policy.
• Set up, adjust, and operate the press brake based on product plans and production schedules.
• Accurately read and interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, and specifications.
• Create and maintain CNC programs to optimize accuracy and efficiency.
• Operate the CNC press brake to form products that meet required tolerances and quality standards.
• Serve as the primary Brake Operator throughout all stages of processing.

Quality Requirements

Physical Requirements

• Ability to stand and walk for extended periods (up to 90% of the workday).
• Occasional bending, squatting, climbing, and lifting up to 40 lbs.
• Ability to accurately judge weight, distance, and height.
