Job summary

Automation Personnel Services is seeking a reliable Press Brake Operator in Charlotte to join our manufacturing team. The role involves setting up and operating CNC press brakes to fabricate custom metal parts from blueprints and work orders, and to program controllers for bend sequences.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of experience operating and programming CNC press brakes in a custom fabrication setting.
• Proven ability to calculate stretch outs and read complex fabrication blueprints.
• Hands-on experience with bump forming and rolling techniques.
• Strong understanding of sheet metal properties, tolerances, and bend allowances.
• Familiarity with multiple gauge metals and a variety of fabrication tools and machines.

Responsibilities

• Set up and operate CNC press brakes to fabricate custom metal parts according to blueprints, drawings, and work orders.
• Program machines directly at the controller including tool selection, calculating bend deductions/stretch outs and optimizing bend sequences.
• Interpret and verify specifications using precision measuring instruments and CAD drawings.
• Perform complex forming techniques including bump forming and rolling to achieve specific contours and radii.
• Inspect finished parts to ensure dimensional accuracy and quality standards are met.
• Collaborate with engineers and other fabricators.
• Follow safety protocols and contribute to a safe work environment.

Press Brake Operator

Automation Personnel Services is looking for a reliable, and experienced Press Brake Operator to join a manufacturing team in Charlotte. This is a great opportunity for someone looking for a new start in the industry.

Pay Rate

$25.00 and up depending on experience

Schedule and Hours

6:00am to 4:30pm Monday – Thursday

Duties and Responsibilities

• Set up and operate CNC press brakes to fabricate custom metal parts according to blueprints, drawings, and work orders
• Program machines directly at the controller including selecting tools, calculating bend deductions/stretch outs and optimizing bend sequences
