Job summary

Jobot in Totowa, NJ is seeking two Press Brake Operators for first or second shift. Operate press brake machines, set up tooling, read blueprints, and inspect parts to meet specs. Ensure safety and quality while contributing to timely production.

Shifts include 7:00am-3:30pm and 3:30pm-12:00am with a pay rate up to $35 per hour. This is an on-site, permanent role with opportunities to grow within a leading manufacturing environment.

Qualifications

• Experience operating press brake machinery.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints.
• Experience with first-piece and in-process inspections.

Responsibilities

• Operate press brake machines to bend, form, and shape sheet metal per blueprints and specs.
• Set up machines by selecting punches, dies, and tooling for each job.
• Read blueprints and drawings to ensure accurate part production.
• Measure parts with calipers, micrometers, and tape measures.
• Adjust bend angles, back gauges, and tonnage for accuracy.
• Perform first-piece inspections and in-process quality checks.
• Follow safety procedures and keep area clean and organized.
• Perform routine machine maintenance and report issues.
• Meet daily production goals while maintaining quality and efficiency.
• Collaborate with team, supervisors, and quality control to complete orders on time.

My client is a leading manufacturing company who is growing! They are looking for two Press Brake Operators for either first or second shift!

First Shift Hours: 7:00am - 3:30pm

Second Shift Hours: 3:30pm - 12:00am

Job Details

• Operate press brake machines to bend, form, and shape sheet metal according to blueprints, work orders, and production specifications.
• Set up machines by selecting and installing the correct punches, dies, and tooling for each job.
• Read and interpret blueprints, engineering drawings, and measurement specifications to ensure accurate part production.
• Measure and inspect finished parts using calipers, micrometers, tape measures, and other precision measuring tools.
• Adjust machine settings, including bend angles, back gauges, and tonnage, to maintain product accuracy and quality.
• Perform first-piece inspections and in-process quality checks to ensure parts meet required tolerances.
• Follow all safety procedures and maintain a clean, organized work area.
• Perform routine machine maintenance and report equipment issues to supervisors.
• Meet daily production goals while maintaining high standards for quality and efficiency.
• Work closely with team members, supervisors, and quality control personnel to ensure timely completion of production orders.
