Jobot is seeking Press Brake Operators for 2nd shift at our Bloomingdale, IL facility. The role offers growth opportunities across Level I–III based on experience with press brakes, tooling, and blueprint interpretation.

Responsibilities include setting up machines, reading blueprints, following bend sequences, inspecting parts, and maintaining a safe, efficient work area. Sign‑on available, strong benefits, and a clear career path.

Qualifications

• Entry to senior level openings; level determined by experience with press brake work.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints and work instructions.
• Experience with precision measuring instruments and tooling knowledge.
• Familiarity with hemming and offset tooling and die V-openings is a plus.

• Set up and operate press brake equipment per level and instruction.
• Read and interpret blueprints, work instructions, and safety documentation.
• Follow bend sequences to form parts accurately.
• Inspect finished parts using calipers, squares, and other measuring tools.
• Identify defective materials and report quality concerns.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area.
• Meet established quality, attendance, and production standards.
• Perform basic shop math (add/subtract/multiply/divide).
• Assist in other production areas as needed.

Candidates will be considered for Level I, II, or III based on their experience with press brake operation, machine setup, blueprint reading, tooling, and metal forming.

This is a first-shift opportunity supporting the production of precision sheet metal components and assemblies used in advanced technology and other critical industries.

Job Details

Key Responsibilities for All Levels

• Set up and operate press brake equipment based on experience level
• Read and interpret blueprints, work instructions, and safety documentation
• Follow established bend sequences to form parts accurately
• Inspect completed parts using calipers, squares, and other measuring instruments
• Identify defective materials and report quality concerns
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area
• Meet established quality, attendance, and production standards
• Perform basic shop math, including addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division
• Assist in other production areas as needed

Preferred Qualifications

• Level I: Entry-level candidates with mechanical aptitude are encouraged to apply
• Level II: Two or more years of related press brake experience
• Level III: Four or more years of related press brake experience
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints and work instructions
• Experience using precision measuring instruments
• Understanding of press brake tooling, including hemming and offset tooling
• Knowledge of die V-openings in relation to material thickness
• Understanding of when and how to use shims
• Ability to create or modify programs at the machine for Level II and III positions
• Previous experience training or mentoring operators is preferred for Level III
• High school diploma or equivalent
