Job summary

Jobot is seeking an experienced Press Brake Setup Operator/Fabricator in Columbus, OH. This hands-on role requires performing setups, making fine adjustments, and producing precision parts in a fast-paced job shop environment.

You will work with Amada and Toyokoki equipment, interpret detailed blueprints, and ensure parts meet tight tolerances while contributing to cross-training and growth opportunities within the company.

Qualifications

• At least two years of press brake setup and operating experience.
• Ability to independently perform press brake setups and machine adjustments.
• Strong blueprint reading and interpretation skills.
• Experience working to tight dimensional and angular tolerances.
• Proficiency with calipers and micrometers.

Responsibilities

• Set up and operate 85–175-ton CNC and ATC press brakes.
• Read and interpret detailed blueprints and manufacturing specifications.
• Produce parts within tolerances of ±.005 inch and one-half degree.
• Inspect completed parts using calipers, micrometers, and other precision measuring tools.
• Adjust machine offsets to maintain quality and dimensional accuracy.
• Record inspection results and part characteristics.

Press Brake Operator With Industry Leader (1st & 2nd Shift Openings) / $25-$33 Per Hour / Full Benefits & Growth Opportunity

A well-established precision fabrication company in Columbus is seeking an experienced Press Brake Setup Operator/Fabricator. This is a hands-on setup position in a fast-paced, high-mix/low-volume job shop. Candidates must be capable of completing their own setups, making adjustments, and producing precision parts. This is not an operator-only position.

Initial training may take place on first shift, Monday–Friday from 7:00 a.m.–3:30 p.m., or a split shift, Monday–Thursday from 10:00 a.m.–8:30 p.m.

Job Details

What You’ll Do

• Set up and operate 85–175-ton CNC and ATC press brakes
• Work with Amada and Toyokoki press brake equipment
• Read and interpret detailed blueprints and manufacturing specifications
• Produce parts within tolerances of ±.005 inch and one-half degree
• Inspect completed parts using calipers, micrometers, and other precision measuring tools
• Adjust machine offsets to maintain quality and dimensional accuracy
• Record inspection results and part characteristics
• Support fabrication, hardware insertion, assembly, finishing, and other shop departments
• Operate grinders, deburring equipment, Fladder finishing equipment, and related machinery
• Use hand, power, and pneumatic tools, including rivet guns
• Participate in on-the-job training and cross-training throughout the facility
• Follow established safety, quality, and ISO-related procedures

Required Qualifications

• At least two years of press brake setup and operating experience
• Ability to independently perform press brake setups and machine adjustments
• Strong blueprint reading and interpretation skills
• Experience working to tight dimensional and angular tolerances
• Proficiency with calipers and micrometers
• Strong mechanical aptitude and attention to detail
• Ability to follow and retain detailed instructions
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Dependable attendance and a strong work ethic
• High school diploma or equivalent
• Basic computer skills, including familiarity with Microsoft Word, Excel, or manufacturing software

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with Amada or Toyokoki press brakes
• Familiarity with ISO procedures and quality standards
• Two to three years of mechanical assembly experience in a manufacturing environment
• Experience with hardware insertion, finishing equipment, or pallet jacks
• Previous experience in a precision fabrication job shop
