Job summary

Jobot in Columbus, OH is seeking a qualified CNC press brake operator to set up and run equipment in a modern manufacturing environment. You will interpret drawings, maintain tight tolerances, and ensure quality with precision gauges while collaborating with teammates to hit production goals.

Ideal candidates have hands-on experience with CNC press brakes, strong blueprint reading skills, and the ability to work independently as well as part of a high-mix shop.

Qualifications

• Manufacturing experience in a high-mix production setting is preferred.
• Familiarity with quality management systems is a plus.

Job Details

Shifts: 7:00am - 3:30pm OR 3:15pm - 1:45am

Pay Range: $20 - $35 per hour depending on experience/skills

What You'll Do

• Set up and operate CNC press brake equipment independently
• Interpret engineering drawings and manufacturing documentation
• Produce components to tight dimensional and angular tolerances

Qualifications

Press Brake & Fabrication Experience

• Experience performing complete machine setups and operation of CNC press brakes
• Strong blueprint reading and interpretation skills
• Ability to hold close tolerances and verify dimensional accuracy
• Proficiency with measuring instruments such as calipers, micrometers, and gauges
• Experience making machine adjustments and troubleshooting minor process issues
• Detail-oriented with a commitment to quality workmanship
• Comfortable working both independently and within a team environment
• Manufacturing experience in a high-mix production setting is preferred
• Familiarity with quality management systems is a plus

Additional Manufacturing Skills

• Mechanical aptitude and comfort using hand, pneumatic, and power tools
• Experience with assembly, fabrication, or related manufacturing activities
• Ability to learn multiple production processes and equipment
• Experience with material handling equipment is beneficial
• Strong attention to detail and manual dexterity

Physical Requirements

• Ability to stand and move throughout a production shift
• Frequent bending, reaching, lifting, pushing, and pulling
• Ability to lift materials weighing up to 75 pounds when required
