Southern Specialties in Tulsa, OK, is hiring a Press Brake Operator for the Evening Team. You will set up and run CNC hydraulic press brakes to form high‑quality sheet metal parts in a climate‑controlled shop.

You'll read blueprints, select tooling, and program machines to meet tight tolerances. The role offers a four‑day workweek (Mon-Thu) with a 11.5% shift premium and opportunities for skill growth in a precision manufacturing environment.

Responsibilities

• Set up and operate CNC hydraulic press brake equipment
• Read blueprints, layouts, sketches and work instructions
• Select and install punches, dies, and tooling
• Load and run CNC programs independently
• Produce parts that meet tight-tolerance specifications
• Deburr and finish parts as needed
• Inspect work to ensure quality standards are met
• Use materials efficiently to minimize scrap and waste
• Maintain a safe and organized work area

What You'll Do

As a Press Brake Operator, you'll play a key role in transforming raw materials into precision components by:

• Setting up and operating CNC hydraulic press brake equipment


• Reading and interpreting blueprints, layouts, sketches, and work instructions


• Selecting and installing the correct punches, dies, and tooling


• Loading and running CNC programs independently


• Producing parts that meet tight-tolerance specifications


• Deburring and finishing parts as needed


• Inspecting work to ensure quality standards are met


• Using materials efficiently to minimize scrap and waste


• Maintaining a safe and organized work area

Physical Requirements

Generally, 95% of the normal work shift requires standing, bending, squatting, and climbing while running production, inspecting work and machines and checking procedures.

Job requires moving of material and parts weighing up to 50 pounds. Lifting devices should be used when possible. Parts must be lifted, pulled, pushed, and held in place, sometimes without benefit of material handling devices due to limited space and confined areas in and around machines.
