Press Brake Operator

Pay: $22-$28 DOE

Shift: Monday–Thursday, 3:30 PM–2:00 AM

Professional Summary of Press Brake Operator

We are seeking a skilled and dependable Press Brake Operator to join our Evening Team. This position is responsible for setting up and operating CNC hydraulic press brake equipment to produce high-quality, precision sheet metal components.

The ideal candidate has experience with press brake operations or metal fabrication, understands technical drawings, takes pride in quality workmanship, and is comfortable working in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. This position offers a four-day workweek, three-day weekends, and an 11.5% shift premium.

Responsibilities of Press Brake Operator

• Set up and operate CNC hydraulic press brake equipment.
• Read and interpret blueprints, layouts, sketches, and work instructions.
• Select and install the appropriate punches, dies, and tooling.
• Load and operate CNC programs independently.
• Produce precision parts that meet specified dimensions and tolerances.
• Perform deburring and finishing of parts as required.
• Inspect completed work to ensure quality standards and specifications are met.
• Use materials efficiently to minimize scrap and waste.
• Identify and resolve basic production or equipment issues.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area.
• Follow all company safety, quality, and production procedures.
• Work overtime as needed to meet production requirements.

Qualifications of Press Brake Operator

• Previous press brake, fabrication, sheet metal, or metal-forming experience preferred.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
• Ability to work independently and troubleshoot problems on the shop floor.
• Ability to operate precision machinery safely and effectively.
• Strong work ethic and dependable attendance.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
• Willingness to work overtime as needed.
• Commitment to safety and following established procedures.

Required Tools

Employees must own or be willing to purchase the following tools:

• Certified 12" Caliper
• Tape Measure
• Angle Finder

Physical Requirements

Approximately 95% of the normal work shift requires standing, bending, squatting, and climbing while operating production equipment, inspecting work and machinery, and following established procedures.

The position requires moving materials and parts weighing up to 50 pounds. Lifting devices should be used whenever possible. Employees may be required to lift, pull, push, and hold parts in place, including in areas where material-handling equipment may be limited due to confined spaces or limited access around machinery.

This position is considered safety-sensitive because it involves tasks and duties that could affect the safety and health of the employee or others. Safety-sensitive responsibilities may include:

• Handling, packaging, processing, storing, disposing of, or transporting hazardous materials.

Preferred Experience Press Brake Operator:

• 1+ year of press brake or sheet metal fabrication experience.
• Experience operating CNC hydraulic press brakes.
• Experience reading blueprints and technical drawings.
• Experience selecting and installing punches, dies, and tooling.
• Experience with precision measuring tools such as calipers and angle finders.
• Experience in a manufacturing or fabrication environment.
