Job description

Job Description The Press Assistant reports to the Production Supervisor of the Printing and Converting Department. Assists press operator in the preparation of press for flexographic printing including set-up. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following: (Other duties may be assigned) *This position requires skill progression and testing MANUFACTURING; Duties include line setup, scrap control, quality checks, and any other duties set forth by the Production Supervisor (Printing and Converting). Complete all required paperwork. Inform Press Operator immediately of all maintenance issues prior to request being filled out as well as quality, housekeeping, safety, or production issues. In this position the employee is responsible for all aspects of printing press run including flexographic ink distribution, raw material setup and loading, job setup, preparing printing presses for quality printing, and the press run. Position entails all aspects of press run including preparation, set-up, production, quality checks, and routine equipment management. Notify management whenever equipment is found to be malfunctioning, damaged, or in need of repair. Maintain production and quality standards as set forth by Department Manager. Other duties may be assigned.
