Job summary

Pitney Bowes is hiring for Direct Hire Full Time Presort Associate 1 at our Pine Brook, New Jersey Presort Services Facility. This role has 6 slots and the 2nd shift runs from 1:30 PM to 10:00 PM.

You will be trained to prepare outbound mail, review dates and barcodes, troubleshoot jams, and ensure quality before dispatch. The position emphasizes accuracy, safety, and meeting SLAs with a team-focused environment.

Responsibilities

• Prepare outgoing permit and metered mail by reviewing dates, postage, and barcodes before production.
• Communicate errors and recognize bad barcodes found in mail and/or packages.
• Troubleshoot and remove mail piece jams from machine.
• Monitor the quality of the mail and/or packages prior to processing and before dispatching.
• Understand zip code USPS labels and Matching bin numbers on machines to tray numbers.
• Follow QMS practices and policies to assure quality of output by double checking date, weight, etc.
• Understand USPS labels and preparation requirements for stacking and preparing sorted mail.
• Assure sorter equipment and other equipment are running properly.
• Assist with inbound and outbound processing of mail and/or packages.
• Remain informed of acceptance times and when trucks must leave.
• Assure mail and/or packages are prepared to meet SLAs.
• Promote a clean work area to prevent injuries and hazards.
• Perform all additional duties as required.
