Job summary

Pitney Bowes is hiring for a Presort Associate 1 (Dispatch Associate) at our Romulus, MI facility. Earn $17 per hour with an additional $1.50 per hour for 2nd shift. Responsibilities include preparing mail, ensuring correct postage and barcodes, and maintaining quality before dispatch.

Candidate will handle outbound/inbound mail, resolve barcode issues, and work to meet SLAs. Overtime, weekend work, and safety compliance are expected. Prior Pitney Bowes experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Prepare outgoing mail with correct date, postage, and barcodes.
• Identify and report errors or bad barcodes in mail/packages.
• Troubleshoot and clear mail jams from machines.
• Monitor mail quality before processing and dispatch.
• Understand USPS labels, packing/stacking requirements, and bin/tray mappings.
• Ensure sorter and related equipment operate properly.
• Assist with inbound/outbound processing of mail/packages.
• Know acceptance times and truck departure deadlines to meet SLAs.
• Promote a clean, safe work area to prevent injuries.
• Perform any additional duties as required.
