Responsibilities

• Prepare outgoing mail with proper date, postage, and barcodes.
• Identify and report errors and bad barcodes on mail or packages.
• Troubleshoot and clear mail piece jams from machines.
• Monitor mail quality before processing and dispatch.
• Understand USPS labels and align bin numbers to trays.
• Follow Quality Management Systems to ensure accurate output.
• Prepare mail according to stacking and preparation requirements.
• Ensure sorter and related equipment run properly.
• Assist with inbound/outbound mail and packages.
• Be aware of acceptance times and trucking schedules.
• Keep work area clean to prevent injuries.
• Perform additional duties as required.
