Job summary

Pitney Bowes Presort Services is hiring a Dispatch Associate in Romulus, MI. Start wage is $17 per hour with a $1.50/hr premium on 2nd shift. You’ll be trained to prepare outgoing mail, monitor quality, and troubleshoot equipment to ensure timely dispatch.

Qualifications

• Dependable and reliable individual.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills required.
• Good organizational skills and customer service orientation.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and stand/walk for long periods.
• Willingness to work overtime, weekends/holidays as needed.
• Prior experience at Pitney Bowes is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Prepare outgoing mail with correct date, postage and barcodes.
• Identify and communicate errors; correct bad barcodes.
• Troubleshoot jams and keep equipment running smoothly.
• Monitor mail quality before processing and dispatch.
• Understand USPS labels, zip codes and sorting requirements.
• Ensure SLAs are met and maintain a clean, safe workspace.
• Assist inbound/outbound processing and adhere to safety policies.
