Pitney Bowes is hiring a Presort Associate 1 for our Romulus, MI facility. Earn $16.00 per hour with an additional $1.50/hr on the second shift. This direct-hire, full-time role trains you to sort mail, review barcodes and postage, and ensure quality before dispatch.

Ideal candidates are dependable with strong communication and organizational skills, capable of lifting up to 50 lbs, and able to work overtime. Prior Pitney Bowes experience as a Warehouse Mail Sorter is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Prepare outgoing mail with correct date, postage and barcodes
• Identify and communicate barcode errors
• Troubleshoot jams and ensure smooth operation of sorting equipment
• Monitor mail quality before processing and dispatch
• Understand USPS labels and sorting requirements
• Follow Quality Management Systems for output quality
• Ensure equipment is functioning properly
• Support inbound/outbound mail processing as needed
• Be aware of acceptance times and truck departure
• Maintain a clean, safe work area
• Perform other duties as required
