Job summary

Pitney Bowes is hiring for a Direct Hire Full Time Dispatch Associate in our Romulus, MI facility. The role pays $17 per hour with a $1.50/hour shift premium for 2nd shift.

You will prepare outgoing mail, monitor quality, troubleshoot jams, and ensure timely dispatch while adhering to QMS practices. Candidates should be dependable, with strong verbal and written communication skills and the ability to lift up to 50 lbs.

Responsibilities

• Prepare outgoing permit and metered mail by reviewing date, postage, and barcodes.
• Communicate errors and recognize bad barcodes.
• Troubleshoot and remove mail piece jams from machine.
• Monitor mail quality prior to processing and dispatch.
• Understand USPS labels and bin/tray relationships.
• Follow Quality Management System practices to assure output quality.
• Assure sorter and related equipment are running properly.
• Assist with inbound/outbound processing of mail and packages.
• Remain informed of acceptance times and truck departures.
• Promote a clean work area to prevent injuries.
