Qualifications

• Must be dependable and reliable.
• Knowledge of the presort mailing business is a plus.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Strong organizational skills.
• Strong customer service skills.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
• Ability to work overtime with little or no advance notice.
• Must have current Pitney Bowes warehouse mail sorter experience.

Responsibilities

• Prepare outgoing permit and metered mail by reviewing proper date, postage, and quality barcodes before production.
• Communicate errors and recognize bad barcodes in mail or packages.
• Troubleshoot and remove mail piece jams from machines.
• Monitor the quality of mail and packages before processing and dispatch.
• Understand USPS labels and machine bin mappings to tray numbers.
• Follow Quality Management Systems practices to assure output quality.
• Assure sorter equipment and other equipment are running properly.
• Assist with inbound and outbound processing of mail and packages.
