Pitney Bowes in Omaha, NE is seeking a Presort Associate 1 for 1st shift. Earn $17.00 per hour with full benefits and weekly pay. This direct-hire, full-time role focuses on preparing outgoing mail, reviewing postage and barcodes, and maintaining quality across the mail sorting process.

You will learn to operate sorting equipment, troubleshoot jams, ensure SLAs are met, and support inbound/outbound mail processing while upholding safety and quality standards in a busy facility.

Formación

• Must be dependable and reliable.
• Knowledge of the pre-sort mailing business is a plus.

• The ability to lift up to 50 lbs. with or without accommodations.
• The ability to walk, stand, stoop, and bend 80% of the time with or without accommodation.
• A basic enough understanding of English to follow safety instructions in English.

• Must have current work experience at Pitney Bowes as a Warehouse Mail Sorter

Responsabilidades

• Prepare outgoing permit and metered mail by reviewing date, postage, and barcodes before production.
• Communicate errors and recognize bad barcodes found in mail/packages.
• Troubleshoot and remove mail piece jams from machine.
• Monitor the quality of mail/packages prior to processing and before dispatch.
• Understand USPS labels and matching bin numbers on machines to tray numbers.
• Follow QMS practices to assure quality of output by double checking details.
• Understand USPS labeling and preparation requirements for stacking and sorting mail.
• Ensure sorter equipment and related gear run properly.
• Assist with inbound and outbound processing of mail/packages.
• Remain informed of acceptance times and truck departure schedules.
• Assure mail/packages meet SLAs.
• Promote a clean work area to prevent injuries and hazards.
• Perform all additional duties as required.
