Job summary

MAAC is seeking a bold, community-centered President & CEO to guide its multi-site nonprofit in San Diego County from its Chula Vista base. You will partner with the Board to align mission, programs, and resources for sustained impact and responsible growth.

The role requires deep nonprofit leadership, strong financial discipline, labor relations experience, and a commitment to equity. Travel across the region and national outreach are expected as MAAC expands its housing, education, and

Qualifications

• Significant executive leadership experience in a complex nonprofit or mission-driven organization.
• Bachelor’s degree required; advanced degree preferred.
• Demonstrated success leading large, multi-site operations with diverse funding.
• Strong financial and operating acumen, risk and compliance experience.
• Excellent communication and relationship-building with boards, partners, and communities.
• Bilingual/bicultural experience is highly valued.

Responsibilities

• Lead MAAC’s strategic vision and priorities with the Board of Directors.
• Oversee budgeting, forecasting, audits, internal controls, and risk management.
• Develop and retain a high-performing Executive Leadership Team.
• Foster a healthy, inclusive, mission-driven culture and labor relations.
