Job summary

STRATEGIC STAFFING SOLUTIONS in Schriever, LA seeks a Preservation Lead for a 6+ month on-site contract. The role leads maintenance and preservation activities within a Preservation and Maintenance Facility (PMF), requiring strong HSSE implementation and deepwater equipment knowledge.

The ideal candidate has extensive leadership experience in preservation, manages materials, and coordinates with owner operators and third-party teams to ensure assets stay in fit-for-use condition.

Qualifications

• 10 years of experience in a leadership role related to preservation and maintenance of oilfield materials.
• 5+ years managing people and leading a diverse workforce.
• 5+ years working with offshore platform operations, drilling rigs, wellheads, and subsea equipment to preserve and maintain materials.
• Experience coordinating with third-party service providers for facility upkeep and preservation of materials.
• Experience using metrics, KPIs, scorecards, and performance reviews.

Responsibilities

• Lead preservation and maintenance personnel training.
• Ensure Health, Safety, Security, and Environmental safeguarding (HSSE) with the PMF Site Manager.
• Lead JSEAs for all maintenance activities.
• Maintain PMF facility, PMF equipment, and items stored at the facility.
• Plan and schedule work orders to meet regulatory requirements.
• Create and approve preservation maintenance plans for asset-owned equipment.
• Manage onsite third-party personnel, including HSE, supervision, and quality of work.
• Plan, schedule, and reconcile all work orders.
• Assess equipment upon arrival to identify maintenance needs and communicate with owners to keep it fit for use.
• Coordinate rental of material-handling equipment for preservation tasks.
• Identify scrap, surplus, and obsolete items with item owners.
• Communicate service levels to customers via a KPI program.
• Participate in annual planning and objective setting for the PMF team.
• Lead and promote identification and implementation of innovation opportunities.
• Perform duties as assigned by the PMF Site Supervisor.

Position Summary

The Preservation Lead is responsible for leading maintenance and preservation activities within a Preservation and Maintenance Facility (PMF). This role requires a strong background in maintenance, organizational management, HSSE implementation, and deepwater oil and gas equipment.

The Preservation Lead will oversee materials management processes, systems, and ongoing preservation activities while ensuring equipment and materials are properly maintained. This position requires strong communication and organizational skills, along with the ability to implement new activities and processes within a large, independent organization.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage personnel and ensure training and development of Preservation and Maintenance contract personnel.
• Responsible for all aspects of Health, Safety, Security, and Environmental safeguarding (HSSE) in conjunction with the PMF Site Manager.
• Lead JSEAs for all maintenance activities.
• Manage all activities required to maintain the PMF facility, PMF equipment, and items stored at the facility.
• Plan and schedule work orders related to federal, state, local, OSHA, and other regulatory compliance requirements.
• Facilitate the creation and approval of preservation maintenance job plans for asset-owned equipment.
• Manage third-party personnel working onsite, including HSE, supervision, and quality of work.
• Plan, schedule, and reconcile all work orders.
• Assess equipment upon arrival to identify maintenance needs and communicate with equipment owners to maintain a "fit for use" condition.
• Coordinate rental of special material-handling equipment required to complete preservation and maintenance activities.

Required Qualifications

Experience

• 10 years of experience in a leadership role related to preservation and maintenance of oilfield materials.

• 5+ years working with systems and materials such as offshore platform operations, drilling rigs, wellheads, and subsea equipment to ensure knowledge of preserving and maintaining materials.
• Experience working with third-party service providers for facility upkeep and preservation of materials.
• Experience managing performance using metrics, key performance indicators (KPIs), scorecards, and performance reviews.

Skills
