Job summary

New Directions Mental Health, part of Transformations Care Network, is seeking a Prescriber Medical Administrative Assistant to support clinical and administrative tasks in a fast-paced mental health clinic.

The role emphasizes handling client calls, appointment coordination, medication-related logistics, and collaboration with providers and site leaders to ensure compliant, high-quality patient care.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Excellent communication skills (written and verbal).
• Patient and empathetic attitude and adaptable.
• Strong time management and organizational skills.
• Familiarity with Google Drive.
• Phone skills, including multi-line systems.
• Maintain client trust and protect operations by keeping client care information confidential.

Responsibilities

• Answer phones and provide professional, accurate, satisfactory answers to questions and concerns.
• Guide clients through troubleshooting for telehealth appointments.
• Call insurance for prior authorization and copay information.
• Assist providers in administrative tasks.
• Coordinate care between clients and providers.
• Schedule client appointments
• Prepare client files for providers.
• Provide psychiatric provider and site support in conjunction with Site Coordinators.
• Own and manage medication logbook and download prescription monitoring report daily.
